Larry is a trading mentor and a thirty year veteran of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He supervised Drexel-Burnham-Lambert’s Commodity Department in Los Angeles. Larry traded on and off the floor and trained over 200 traders. He is currently a contract trader for a large hedge fund.

Larry seeks to distill and share his thirty years of market experience. His contribution is to teach others the "art and science" of trading. He is the author of six books on trading, and he periodically gives seminars on his pattern recognition style of trading.

ASTRO-CYCLES IS AN INVALUABLE REFERENCE TEXTBOOK.PAGE 148 DESCRIBES THE 1-3-5 ENTRY TECHNIQUE USING THE GARTLEY "222" TRADING ENTRY METHOD. THIS INFORMATION ALONE IS WORTH MORE THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THIS BOOK.

Astro trading for the Beginner

The book is ideal for someone who want to begin to understand what Astro Trading is all about. Larry's presentations are simple to understand. I found the references made and most charts shown to the period between 1985-1988. This may sound a bit outdated but the examples do help to understand when certain planets form certain patterns and the outcome of these pattern formations.
The paper quality and the the quality of the charts need improvement. I also found that certain arrows pointing to certain points in the chart to be slightly off the exact mark. To me this was frustrating because I wasnt sure whether there was a print error or was the error made by the author or maybe I was the one who couldn't see the examples presented clearly. The book needs to have a revised edition with the charts redone
clearly which many software programs are able to do these days.
All said, this is a good book. One which explains astro-trading in a simple format.

Good place to start

Although a bit outdated (especially s far as examples and tables are concerned) this book is still a good starting point for those who wants to begin with their research in astro economics and astro trading: for example, if you have never read an Ephemeris table before then section two of the book will explain you how to do it. One important point: this book makes reference to moving planets "aspects" and their correlation with turning points in the market: it has little to do with financial astrology , here you will not find corporations' horoscopes, first trade dates or stuff like that. Another observation: this books is very simple to understand: the author writes about astronomical cycles without mentioning equations, signals theory and celestial mechanics concepts, great for beginners, maybe this a limit for those more into this subject.

The Middle Sea, In his latest sweeping history, the author of "Byzantium" considers the "political fortunes" of the lands of the Mediterranean from the age of ancient Greece to the First World War. Taking as a starting point the region’s unique geography, which seems to have been "deliberately designed" as a "cradle of cultures," he focusses on the rise and fall of civilizations through battles and their heroes, paying particular attention to the Christian and Muslim struggle for dominance. At times, the geographical framework feels arbitrary. The Mediterranean’s bearing on the countries around it was not always as manifest as during antiquity; from 200 B.C. to 200 A.D., there was a higher density of commercial traffic than at any time in the following millennium. There are also some egregious omissions: art, social, and intellectual history are essentially passed over. But Norwich’s focus plays to his strengths as a military historian, and he produces, over six hundred pages, a highly readable chronicle.

The littoral lands of the Mediterranean Sea are Norwich's stage for surveying millennia of power politics. An experienced expositor (Paradise of Cities, 2003), Norwich is irresistibly readable in his emphasis on would-be empire builders to whom the Mediterranean offered both a tempting avenue for embarking on conquest and a dangerous seaway from which enemies would appear. Norwich purposely excludes, however, navigation and navies as well as physical geography from his narrative. He favors the dramas inherent in the succession of empires that have risen and fallen around the Mediterranean from antiquity to World War I. In particular, Norwich emphasizes the characters and motivations of rulers who have affected affairs and frames them in consistently pithy descriptions that are by turns empathic and caustic. Along with the opinion, Norwich, superbly erudite yet having a sense of popular taste, efficiently chronicles the major wars and results and occasionally argues for the importance of battles history has overlooked. A great read, hard to put down

The book is extremely well-written, replete with many intriguing anecdotes and details. As a narrative it is superb. True, it is mainly a narrative,and does not try to analyze the hows and whys of historical trends. It is not a social history, has little to nothing about economic developments, and only a smattering of cultural and intellectual history. But it is great in covering the general political and military history of the Mediterranean region, maintaining the reader's interest while covering a vast subject. I would recommend the book to anyone with even the slightest interest in history.

Here is a history book filled with detail, dialogue, and facts that should be read by ALL!

The Mediterranean, possibly the cradle of humanity, has seen the viyages of the agee. This water way has been the corridor to new civilizations, and the road to glory and dispear for others. John Norwich has made a more than interesting, entertaining and informative read. He has awakened many readers to an era many 'westeners' have missed in there history calsses.

The events today, are reflected in history. It is a shame some of the world's learders have not really studied history. Perhaps if they did, history would not have repeated itself.

Norwich has written this book at a very appropriate time. It should be offered in ever secondary school program. We need to know the world, as it was. And we must know what we may expect if we do not learn from past experiences (mistakes)!

I bought what I thought was the hard cover version of the 10th edition and instead received the 4th edition of Human Relations, A Job Oriented Approach. You can see when you click to buy it, the picture is of the 4th edition. Human Relations: Interpersonal Job-Oriented Skills (10th Edition)
This is not the problem of the seller, I think, but of Amazon's for mislabeling the item. I hope this is corrected as students who may wish to purchase the 10th edition will be mislead.
